Top 5 SEO Law Firms: Intellectual Property

In our recent Social Law Firm Index study, we discovered that large law firms are beginning to invest significant time and effort to ensure that their website can easily be found on search engines. Many top law firms have developed effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies and as a result they are ranking well for keywords that relate to their most important practice areas. Over the course of the next few months, we will be highlighting which firms rank highly in search engine results for specific practice areas. In this post, we look at which AmLaw 200 firms rank highly on search engines for Intellectual Property Law.

Perkins Coie

Perkins Coie’s website has a domain rating of 72 out of 100. This is mostly due to the strong quality and quantity of backlinks. The site is well optimized for search engines and has 50.7 thousand keywords that rank in the top 100 search engine results pages. The firm’s intellectual property page also ranks highly for other keywords related to IP law, such as IP law in Seattle. These factors among others help Perkins Coie rank high in searches for intellectual property law.

The firm has built a strong reputation for this practice area – Perkins Coie was recognized in 2019 by BTI Consulting Group as an IP Litigation Powerhouse. It was also ranked in 2018 for the second year in a row by Financial Times North American for its innovative IP tools.

The firm’s intellectual property practice page ranks 17th in top pages by amount of organic search traffic, which speaks to the firm’s reputation for IP law. The firm has been ranked in Tier 1 for IP Litigation by U.S. News & World Report Best Law Firms from 2011-2017. Additionally, the firm has several notable clients under its intellectual property practice including Pfizer, Google, Deutsche Bank and Facebook.
