Email Security & Phishing Awareness
Protecting our clients and partners from fraudulent communications
There has been a significant increase in phishing attempts from spammers through the sending of fraudulent emails impersonating members of the Good2bSocial team. These messages often originate from unauthorized Gmail accounts and are not legitimate G2BS communications.
These emails take information from our website and make it sound like we’re presenting information about our services. They also take headshots from our team page and create a signature. They often have a city that is not accurate for our locations and other signs of spoofing. If you reply to these messages we believe you will be asked for details about your work with us that we should already know or they may ask for personal information.
Email impersonation and phishing are common tactics used to misrepresent trusted organizations. We encourage our clients and partners to be educated and remain vigilant and verify any unexpected or unusual requests.
How to Recognize a Suspicious Email
- Check the sender’s address. Official G2BS employee emails originate from our @good2bsocial.com domain, not personal Gmail accounts.
- Watch for unusual requests. Be cautious of unexpected payment instructions, requests for sensitive information, or requests to access unfamiliar links.
- Be mindful of urgency. Fraudulent emails may pressure recipients to act quickly.
- Verify before responding. If something seems unusual, contact your G2BS representative through an established communication channel.
What to Do If You Receive a Suspicious Email
Do not respond, click links, or open attachments. Report the message as phishing through your email provider and contact your G2BS representative directly to verify its authenticity.
Our Commitment
G2BS takes the security of our client relationships and communications seriously. We continue to monitor reported impersonation attempts and encourage clients to contact us whenever they have questions about the authenticity of a message.
When in doubt, verify directly with our team.
