D.M. Osborne
D.M. Osborne has years of reporting, writing and editing experience for Inc., Los Angeles magazine, The American Lawyer, Corporate Counsel, Minority Law Journal and IP Law & Business.
Based in Los Angeles, she has profiled Hollywood studio executives, Silicon Valley visionaries and big-firm partners. She also traveled to post-Communist Poland to chronicle a U.S.-trained lawyer’s efforts at legal reform, and to Harlan, Kentucky, where a fresh public defender claimed ineffective assistance of counsel warranted retrials for jailed convicts. In rendering every profile, Osborne conducts in-depth independent reporting with clients, competitors and colleagues to present a full-fledged character within a dynamic narrative structure.
Osborne’s work has highlighted gender and minority issues in law firm recruitment and retention. As a contributor to The Legal Writer’s Bureau, she intends to help firms address these and other sensitive yet urgent topics by producing thoughtful content aligned with partnerships’ specific achievements and goals.
She has an M.S. from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University and a BA from Hunter College, CUNY.
